Simple On/Off for Schedule

Why isn't there a simple on/off switch in the Nest app to enable and disable the schedule? The workarounds I've seen are inconvenient. Please add this simple option!

Hey there,

Sorry to hear that things aren't as easy as you would like them to be, but I'm happy to take this feedback and pass it forward as a feature request as we are always looking to improve.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Best regards,
Garrett DS

Along with this,  why isn't there a 'set temp to xx for 30 min."      or hour etc.

This is not really a smart device,  but a digital version of the old setback thermostat.

Its great to have a schedule,  but it is better to have a schedule,  and be able to bump up,  or bump down the temperature a few degrees for a set time.  My very old smarter thermostat did this....

Any idea on how long feature requests take to get implemented?

It seems pretty reasonable,     to  be able to say,   decrease temp to 76 deg for 30  [or 60, 120 minutes]

and then, back to schedule

Hey mrcpuhead,

I am sorry, but I do not have a specific answer on that. It is up to the Team on when they will implement new updates and features to the device. We will be sure to inform users of any new updates, so be on the lookout for those.

Best regards,

Jake
