Taking too long to bring up temperature

It’s taking forever to raise the temperature in my house. I’m wondering if the nest is kaput. I’ve tried raising the temperature and it takes hours just to get one or two degrees. Yes I’ll have the HVAC guy check out my unit as, but I’m wondering if best isn’t reading things right

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • How is your Nest Thermostat wired?

if you have a thermometer, could you check if it has a different ambient temperature reading?

I have a nest 3.0 I think. It’s wired just fine. HVAC guy did it. It was working just fine, then for some reason it went off line. I had to redo everything, except wiring. After that it takes for ever to get the heat up. I’m thinking google put a patch in where it throttles the thermostat

Thanks for the response. The last software update for the Nest Thermostat was released on May 2022. Could you tell us more about what's happening? Is your heating system running but taking too long to reach the temperature?

Yes the system is running and taking too long to reach temperature.
