Thermo disconnected from Wifi (so says the app)

A while back, this issue plagued me for months. Nest couldn't help me (not with a permanent fix) but I think an update or something fixed it because it's been about a year problem free.. well, it's back, and worse than ever. Rather than an hour here or there of disconnection, is now days!! Not sure if it's related, but seemed to coincide with a Google update.. before anyone responds, here's what I've done: un-installed & reinstalled Nest app, restarted thermo & phone & router, removed & re-added device, signed out & in, and adjusted router to prioritize wifi to nest device.. nothing has changed with my house or router, everything has been fine up until a week and a half ago

To be clear, the thermo IS connected to internet but the Nest app & Google Home app says thermo is disconnected from wifi

Thanks for reaching out here in the community.

 

We appreciate you trying all those steps to get the issue resolved. There's one more thing that I'd like to try, it is to connect your thermostat to a different Wi-Fi connection to fully isolate if it is about the Nest thermostat itself, or something from the Wi-Fi connection. We could use one of your mobile phones as a hotspot connection and then connect your thermostat.
