Hello,

I bought Google Nest thermostat 3rd generation last year in feb 2024, It's giving me wifi connectivity error, I done everything but issue is still the same, If you could replace it with new one that would be great because it's under 2 year warranty period.

Regards

Sarb

Hi, @Sarb2024!

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm truly sorry to hear you're having trouble with your thermostat's Wi-Fi connection. I'm here to help!

To better assist you, please answer the following questions:

  • What specific Wi-Fi connectivity error message is displayed on the thermostat?
  • Is the thermostat able to detect any Wi-Fi network names?
  • What is the current software version of your thermostat? Refer to this link to know how to update your thermostat’s software.
  • Do you have only one Wi-Fi network, or are multiple networks available?
  • Are you attempting to connect to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
  • Is the thermostat displayed as offline in the app?

In the meantime, minimize potential Wi-Fi interference by keeping cordless phones and microwaves away from your router. If you suspect interference, try relocating those devices or changing your Wi-Fi channel. For further assistance, refer to this article: Troubleshoot wireless interference.

This information will help to determine the best next troubleshooting steps.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards.

Ana

I have a post from 2 weeks ago. 6.3-5. I e had 2  thermostats for 5 years and nothing changed other than this update that blew up wifi. Everyone else posting about the same thing since. My other thermostat is still on older software and no issue. This was clearly an update that bricked it. I have a new one already because I couldn’t go without heat.
