Thermostat Connected To Wi-Fi But Not App

I have a new Wi-Fi network and password and connected my 2 thermostats to the new network successfully but when I open the Nest app they say they’re offline.   I deleted 1 from the app and was going to add it back thinking this may fix it but now I can’t link it back to the app.

Hi CW167,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. I'd like to know more about it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? In what country are you located?

Please check your thermostats power readings. Your thermostats should have at least 3.7 V above battery level for it to stay connected to the Network. Also, check for devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near your thermostat. Those devices could interfere with the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal.

Check out the guide below:

Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Technical Info.
  4. Select Power.

Nest Thermostat 2020:

  1. Open the Google Home app and then tap the thermostat and then tap Settings .
  2. Select the Device Information.
  3. Choose Technical Information.

Best,

Jenelyn
