Thermostat Settings with Phone

Trying to sign in so I can use the iPhone to set the temperature settings.  However, since I have never had to sign-in, I don't know if I have and am using the right log on, plus when I try to enter a password it does not accept it.  I have two different log-on and yet the system has a totally differ email address that I have never used.  Do I need to un-install the app on my phone and start over.  I am not sure which Next product was installed this year in early April, plus was not provided with all instructions.
