YGWR are the wires that are connected. Is this compatible for Google nest thermostat?

It is compatible. You’d like to have a 5th wire connected to C/common at the nest & your furnace so neat has 24 volt power all the time if not then you might need to unplug nest & charge it up once a while. Good luck.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. You have a conventional system that is compatible with the Nest Thermostats. However, if you prefer to have the Nest Thermostat 2020, you might be needing to install a C wire or a Nest Power Connector to avoid future power issues.

If your system already has a C wire or a spare wire, you can simply connect it to your thermostat and HVAC system. But if there isn’t a C wire, you have two options: get a pro installer to run a new C wire from your system to your thermostat, which can be expensive, or you can install the Nest Power Connector, which is usually simpler and more affordable.

I appreciate your input, @HVAC.

Best,

Jenelyn
