Thermostat connects to iphone, but can't sign in to Macbook Pro

My Nest thermostat is connected to my iphone with no problems. However, I cannot log into Nest on my Macbook Pro. Says to sign in using Google acct. When I click that on it just loops back to the same screen. Tried to log in with Nest log in, but said I had the wrong password. Tried to reset, but would not do so. Was on hold with Google Help, and then disconnected. Any help appreciated.

To provide you with accurate troubleshooting steps, please help me out by answering the following questions: 

  • What browser do you use?

  • What model of thermostat do you have? For your reference, check out this article to consult the model: How to tell which Nest thermostat you have

  • What is the web version of the browser you use?

  • Is this a personal or business computer?

  • Have you migrated your Nest account?
