Thermostat doesn’t have enough power for Wi-Fi wifi

My thermostat screen went blank.
I charged the thermostat through the mini USB port in the back. After charging, it was up and running, but after a few minutes got discharged. The screen went blank again.
On my app, it says ‘My Nest thermostat has stopped, with a blank screen. The Nest App says ”Your thermostat can’t connect to Wi-Fi because it isn’t getting power “. My router works fine for all the other devices, and I can’t see any way to restart the thermostat. . Can anyone help?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. A few questions: how long did you charge your Nest Thermostat? Also, were you able to get the power readout of your thermostat after you charged it? The ideal battery is 3.8 V above. If not, I suggest charging it again for another hour, then check its power readouts by going to your thermostat Settings and Technical Info.

Best,

Jenelyn

My thermostat is still not charging.
The wire connections are as follows:

I got a replacement thermostat from Best Buy and that also has the same issue ( so returned it).
I don’t understand what the issue is?

The error code is as follows:

The schema of the wire connection is as follows:

Hello folks,

I know it has been a while, but I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

Thanks for looking into this, Jenelyn and Dan.

@Vipusa, your thermostat detects the wire mechanically but not electrically. I'd love to know more about this. Could you please gather the power readings in the Technical Info settings? Also, try removing the Rh wire and leaving it disconnected. Restart the thermostat to see if the wiring report disappears. Let me know how it goes.

@Donna8626, what's the message code you're getting from your thermostat? Also, gather its power readings in the Technical Info settings.

Best,
Mark
