My thermostat won't boot up and I have discovered that there is no 12v supply from T1 and T2 on the heat link. Heat link works fine otherwise and operates the boiler OK. What's happening and how do I fix it?

The quick and easy way to get up running is to connect the base connection plate with a USB cable into a charger for example. Then put your thermostat on the base plate. Not ideal if you have a wall mounted thermostat, but will get your heating running again. Place your thermostat in a safe place, and away from any heat or drafts. Make sure the 12v out is made safe, and disconnect the cable.
Then you can source a Heat Link, but meanwhile your heating is working.
The common reason for 12v out not working is incorrect wiring, but could be a faulty unit.
