My new Nest Thermostat has worked as expected intermittently since installation on the 18th October.
It seems to remember the programmed settings, but I can't manually boost the temperature or anything else using to thermostat or my phone. The boiler, though working fine, just won't fire up on command using WiFi.
Annoying as I'm often home during the day and I'd like a bit more heat.
It's also been a bit colder since those settings were inputted.
I can manually use the boiler itself to get the desired heat, but seems a bit pointless when I have a swanky new system...
The air cupboard that has the white box with big button and green light, is situated in a bedroom, and is next to a WIFI extension plug. The WiFi extension is needed as the signal from the main wireless router is not strong enough to reach the bedrooms. The Nest thermostat is in the living room, next to the main router.
I THINK the problem is the thermostat can't communicate with the big button panel in the airing cupboard, which in turn, can't speak to the boiler. Is that right?? If so, how can I overcome this?
The thermostat was set up using the main WiFi code, not the extensions code, which is fine as the thermostat is positioned next to it. But I can't separately set up the panel in the airing cupboard (I think it's called the sensor) to use the WiFi extension, so I'm not sure what options I have.

I think I’ve got the same problem. But no one has replied to any thread that’s relevant.

Hi mate, have you changed WiFi at all?

No mate, boiler and nest installed in October and WiFi remains the same
