Thermostat off line. Can't reset remotely?

Verified that temperature is above setting.  81 degrees vs.  75 degrees normally

If you're remote to the thermostat I assume you're using some other means to check the temperature at the location?   If the thermostat is offline, and the temperature is well outside of the range that it should be I would assume that the thermostat has lost power.   You'll need to physically check the status of your HVAC equipment, I think, to know anything further.
