My thermostat says there is a problem with the W2 Aux wire.
We have had this system for 3 years with no problems.
We have not messed with the system at all. Is the wire bad and the thermostat needs replaced or can this issue be corrected?

Hello Shana1,
Thank you for taking the time in letting us know about your inquiry. I'd love to help.
It appears the Nest Thermostat's internal breakers activate to safeguard its base plate and other system components from damage when they detect an overcurrent error, which occurs when the electrical current on the thermostat wires linked to the Nest Thermostat spikes repeatedly.
Have a look at this guide to troubleshoot with an overcurrent report and let us know if that helps.
Thanks,
Mark
