Thermostat stuck on screen

Good dat,

Our thermostat was giving an error this morning that there were no wires attached and no power. We disconnected it and tried charging on the side while fixing the wire. Since trying to reattach, our thermostat has been stuck on the Google logo. This has been going on for about 5 hour. Any help will be appreciated

A blinking green light means that it’s updating the software, starting up, or restarting. Typically, this only lasts a minute or two. It's it been like that for more than 15 minutes, it may have frozen during the update. Remove and reconnect the display. Pull it straight off the base. Make sure the pin connector is lined up correctly and push it back onto the base. You should hear a click to confirm it is properly seated. If reconnecting the display doesn't help, you can manually restart it. Press the thermostat down until the screen turns off (about 10 seconds), then release. Press and release the ring to turn the screen back on and complete the restart process. The screen should show the Nest logo, then turn on as it finishes.
