Hey Scarb,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. What type of Nest thermostat do you have? When did the issue first occur? Is the thermostat's display seated properly? Are all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires)? Also, what country are you located in?

Thanks,

Archie

I got an AC pro to come check things It was not getting electricity. He fixed that and the original nest would still not work. We installed a new one (different model) and it worked. The old one still has a green blinking light. I would like to install it at my home, but have not had time to try it yet. I am in USA.

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for assisting, Archie.

@Scarb, I'm sorry to hear the issue still persists, and I appreciate you reaching out to an HVAC technician for an inspection. I'd love to know more about this.

Could you try charging your thermostat display for an hour with a USB charger and seeing if it turns on? Also, what model of new Nest Thermostat did you install?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mark

Hello Miford,

Uh oh! Thanks for posting on this thread. Have you tried the steps in this guide? Charging the thermostat display for an hour might help so we can determine what could be the possible cause of why it loses power. Please let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Mark

Yes, it's working. But is there a number to call in the future? the amount of time it took to get a response I would of froze, pipes bursting, etc.
