Your thermostat is compatible with all models of Nest Thermostat. You do not have an O/B wire connected, indicating that you do not have a heat pump. As such, your W/E wire is simply the wire that controls your heating system, and you would connect it to W in Nest Thermostats.
Regardless of which model of thermostat you choose, the app guides you through the complete setup and guides you on where to connect each wire.

I have gas forced air with a two speed fan but No heat pump. On my old Nest E the 2nd stage blower wire was on the O/B terminal and both blower speeds worked great. On my new Nest I wired everything the same white to 1st stage blower heat speed and second stage blower heat speed to O/B and now the Nest says I have Electric as my heat source and the blower is running at only high speed and for an extended period of time after the thermostat temp is reached! Also I can’t select gas forced air as my primary heating source. Is my Nest defective?
