i have just moved into a new (to me) house where the old owners replaced the HVAC system prior to closing. I requested they install a Nest thermostat which they did but never connected it to the wifi. Since moving in i have connected ~20 other devices without issue. The Nest fails to connect whether i try to connect using the thermostat or the app. The thermostat does not see my wifi network. When i input ssid and pw the nest instantaneously says "failed to connect", seems like its a canned response and never even tried to connect. i have tried resetting the thermostat, rebooting modem and wifi and all other suggestions given on the forums without any luck. Not that i think it matters but the router is a TP Link Deco x20 mesh.
