I’m having repeating issues finishing my Learning Thermostat set-up. At the last step, I get a message that “We’re having trouble communicating with the Nest service right now”. I’ve restarted the thermostat multiple times, restarted my internet and my phone. Nothing is working.

Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to check in with you, and see if you are still having trouble. I am glad to hear you were able to get your boyfriend's phone to connect to the device. Since that is connected, you can try sharing access, so you both are able to control the device. Please let me know if that helps, or if you have any questions from here.
