Hi there.
mom buying a very complex top notch multi zone 2 Lennox HVAC systems and replacing our existing system. When tech from the HVAC company came here told us that Nest thermostats are not compatible with Lennox because Lennox uses special communication to furnace etc. so I have now get ride of all 4 nest thermostats in various zones and replace with Lennox. This is really a bummer. I found few threads where users were able to replace iComfort thermostat from Lennox with nest. However, doing this so do you loose functionality?
HVAC tech also told me that OEM thermostat directly communicates remotely with us and if there are issues we can remotely monitor and help. I can’t validate this. I appreciate your response. We love nest but this is absolutely bummer.
I appreciate inputs here.

Hello vvm4thebay82,
I'm sorry for the late response, and thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd love to know more about this.
Could you please tell me the make and model of your Lenox system? Also, how is your iComfort thermostat installed? Does it have wiring set up on its back plate as well? If so, could you share with us a photo of how it was installed?
I'll look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Mark

I do. I am buying Lennox signature series systems from one of the best contractor also referred by Costco. and they are suggesting Nest is not compatible with Lennox Signature series (variable speed, multi stage) systems.
We do have 4 Nest thermostats with multiple zones in the home so it's very critical part of our decision what to do about it.

I’m fine. Unfortunately Leonor signature series systems and S40 are essential for systems to work. I spent $50k to get two brand new systems in our home. Long story short, I had to give up on our nest thermostats. Lennox also said that we have to use s40 given the way diagnostics and communication among zones work. I do t fully agree but I had no choice.

Apologies I meant to say lennox* and I don’t agree with the choices I was given and I was told bunch of other after market warranties and what not.
