W5 code and issue

We have a W5 issue with our upstairs thermostat. Have tried all of the suggested troubleshooting tips but nothing has fixed the problem. Coming into the colder autumn months now and would quite like to have a working thermostat if possible. Anyone able to help please?

Just to confirm, have you tried a full factory reset and reinitialize ?  W5 errors just meat that the thermostat can't connect to wifi, but will still function as a basic thermostat without the wireless control.  Saying this, the wifi chip may have failed and in that case it would be best to contact nest support to see about a warranty replacement .

Yep, full factory reset done, more than once. Still working not connect. Just keeps searching for a network. Looks like the WiFi chip has failed as I had thought. Have lodged the problem with Google. Hoping for replacement.
