Hi all,
Following up from my previous post , I would like to bring to your attention about the current trend for most of us to reduce our cost of living, due to the high prices of energy.
You may find lots of articles in the cost of living page on the BBC website, which supports my statement.
As an example, in an article I read that many are turning off even the standby functionality on their devices (e.g. computer monitor, etc.) to reduce their energy bills.
I was quite surprised that Google did not pay much attention to my suggestion on my previous post.
That is to have more control over the timings for the Nest thermostat water heating schedule for people who still possess the older type of boilers (which means that is not a combi boiler).
I still strongly believe that allowing us to fine tune the schedule, by eliminating the 30 minute barrier, could save us a huge volume of wasted energy.
And when I say us, I mean the accumulated group of those (including myself) who own the type of boiler mentioned above, and using the Nest schedule to heat the water.
In my imagination, that is a lot of wasted energy!
On the other hand, and despite of my complaints, I have to say that the Nest thermostat system is a nice thing to have. But it needs a few tweaks I suppose.
Nevertheless, I would like now to award Google with some energy Leafs of my own.
This year you’ve earned: minus 1000000 Leafs.
Regards,
Dee
