Hey all,
I was given a replacement thermostat by my friend and we hired a Nest pro installer to do the installation in our house.
The heatlink was installed and seems to be operating fine but the thermostat is yet to turn on?
I’ve had it sat on the stand for 2-3 hours now but yet to turn on and keeps displaying a flashing a green light.
I’ve spoken to Nest support but they seem to need me to retrieve the serial number but I don’t believe I can do that without the device being on but as I didn’t receive a box or being able to turn the device on, I’m unsure on how to retrieve this?
Any help/advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet is the contact the “Nest Pro” that installed the thermostat to return and correct his mistakes. Clearly it is not wired correctly.

I don't think your wiring is your problem, as you say the Heat Link is working.
The display shows you are using a USB connection, which will at least power up the screen to the Home screen. I assume you cannot see anything?
Try putting your ear against the display, and try listing for a clicking/buzzing noise.
Have you tried a restart? Press the display and keep pressing until you see the house come on.
Should neither work, try putting a USB direct into the back of th edisplay for an hour, see if any life.
You can retrieve the serial number by a PC, by plugging the display direct via a USB into the PC [not using the connector plate]. The display should come up as a Hard Drive. The serial number will be there, the trouble is, without power, the PC will not see the display.
Failing all that, ANY Pro installer who fitted the system, and left it not working, should be told to fix. Was the set working when they left?
