Weird glitch Thursdays only

I have a weird issue. My heating and hot water doesn’t work on a Thursday. It’s been like this for a month now maybe longer. I’ve reset the thermostat schedules to factory settings and this shows that the heating and hot water should come on twice a day on a Thursday But it doesn’t what’s even weirder is that if I hit the override on on the heat link it lights up but the boiler still doesn’t heat water or all of the radiators. I can only think that the heat link is faulty or there is some rogue app out there that I don’t know about running parallel to the app that I use on my iPhone operating and causing this and welcome any thoughts

The first thing to clear up, the Heat Link has nothing to do with any schedule. That just switches the Heating/Water via the Display command. Assuming other days work fine, then that proves the Heat Link is working correctly.

I would suggest the best solution to factory reset. You will find that under Settings - Reset. That will clear out everything and set back to a fresh start.

Thanks for the reply.  As per the post I already did a factory reset and have stayed with those settings.  Today is no heat or hot water Thursday!

I am suggesting a full factory thermostat reset, even if you have done that once, try a full factory again. I am not suggesting resetting the just the auto schedule. These thermostats have odd glitches from time to time, and the best option is full factory as I mentioned previously.

Hi @Tilpah,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your Nest Thermostat not working on Thursdays. I'll be more than glad to assist you.

I agree with @Frustratedddd; we can try doing a factory reset and monitor the thermostat’s behavior for some days. If the issue persists, please reply to the following questions to provide support:

  • What type of thermostat do you have?
  • Have you checked if the thermostat is linked to an energy-saving program?
  • Do you have a Nest Renew subscription?

In the meantime, you can take a look at the following articles: Learn about Nest Renew, Restart or reset a Nest thermostat.

I’ll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards,

Derick.
