What should power info show for Vin, lin, PS if all is wired correctly

I have a basic nest that needs new batteries way more often than I would expect. Batteries (again) died so it shows "batteries not detected".  I won't have new ones until tomorrow. So I wonder if it will keep operating?

Model Thermostat-1.4
Software (says updated) 1.3-10

My nest shows  Connected to  Y-C-W-G-R
the Power info is : Vin: 33.816 V  lin: 385   PS: C-385

Does this power info indicate that I have some wiring problem ?  I thought that the batteries were just for back up. Yes? No?

Thanks

Hello @siestaj

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community. Don't worry, I'm happy to assist you with this situation with the battery on your Nest Thermostat.

With the wire configuration described, I don't see any problem with your thermostat, although to be completely sure of this, we should measure if the cable is having the necessary electrical voltage.

The batteries could be another cause; could you tell me what type or brand of batteries the thermostat is using? How long has it been working this thermostat?

Feel free to share more details with me, and I definitely will do my best to find a solution for you.

Best regards,

Douglas.
