When WiFi connection is lost is there a way to manually control Nest i.e. turn A/C on?

Nothing.  When internet goes down my A/C goes off.  Can I turn it on manually?

I can understand wanting to learn how to manually change the temperature and mode on your thermostat and I'm happy to help.
