I have "R" wire on my heat pump HVAC system. The base on the Nest Learning Themostat has "Rc" and "Rh" connections. I found instructions that say I can connect the "R" wire to either the "Rc" or "Rh" connector. OK, so far so good.
I also have an "E" wire, but there is no "E" connector on the base. Where do I connect the "E" wire???

Hi dadunnatverizon,
Thanks for reaching out. I'd love to know more about this. Could you share a photo of your current thermostat's wiring and HVAC's system control board? What is your HVAC's make and model? Also, you could try our compatibility checker to see if your current system is compatible with the Nest Thermostat.
Thanks,
Mel
