I'm trying to figure out which versions of the Nest Thermostat supports Matter? All three variants seem to have 802.15.4 support (Thread) so just wondering if Matter capability will be pushed via software update on all three?
Right now, Google have only rolled out Matter compatibility for the newest Nest Thermostat released in 2020. I don't believe the older learning models have support, and I've not seen any announcements that it's coming.
Thanks David. From doing some digging I've come to the same conclusion. Specifically, if you go on the CSA's website to look at Matter certified Thermostats it's only the Nest (not learning version or e version): https://csa-iot.org/csa_product/nest-thermostat-2/
