Why Is Nest "Thermostat E" no longer manufactured?

I was trying to order another Thermostat E from the nest site and was told that this model is longer available or being  manufactured.   Anyone out there know what the replacement model is called and estimated pricing? 

Customer service had no information.

The latest model is the Nest Thermostat 2020, it is currently available from the Google Store at $99.
