Why does my AC run constantly when my Google Nest Thermostat is in the Sleep preset?

I have a sleep preset from 2000 to 0700. I have it set to 65 degrees. The room will cool to 65 degrees but the AC continues to run. If I change the preset temp to 66 degrees the room will reach 66 degrees and the AC will continue to run. WHY? How/which preset do I use for my AC to reach the preset temperature and then cycle on and off to maintain that temperature without running constantly for 11 hours?

I am having the same issue.  Nest support staff is useless.  I switched to Amazon thermostat and it solves all issues that I have with Nest, minus the AWAY mode, which I can manually change when I am out of house for longer than 2 hours...
