Why isn't the automatic pilot not igniting and gas not flowing?

Hello Community,

I successfully installed two Nests in our old place - 4 wires and no problems.  We're in a different house now and the heater has worked very well and has a humidifier attached (no air conditioner).  This house has 3 wires (W, R, G) and I also purchased a C wire (Google version) which I attached at the source.  Everything appears to work great - I turn the Nest to heat and the system clicks to life, but I don't smell or hear any gas release nor do I hear the autopilot make an attempt to light any gas.

It's just blowing cold air.  What am I doing wrong?

We need to see the way you wired it at the furnace and at the Nest base.

How did you attach the C common at the furnace? Was there a screw marked C on the furnace?

Can you pull a new 5 conductor thermostat cable from the furnace to the Nest?

That is always the best way to solve C wire problems is to actually have a real C wire not the adapter device.

I've heard this as well - it will be challenging to pull a wire.  i have photos of the wiring at the furnace and Nest here:furnace 1.jpgfurnace 2.jpgthermostat view.jpg

Are you sure that you have the correct wires on nest R and C the wires are so old cannot make out the colors of them. Maybe they are reversed?
