I have extra Nest temperature sensors and an ecobee thermostat.  Will the Nest temperature sensors work with the ecobee thermostat?

Hey there,

I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. You can’t use a Nest Temperature Sensor without a Nest thermostat. Your temperature sensor reports temperature data directly to a Nest thermostat in the same home. Here is an article with more details. Please let me know if you have any questions from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Best regards,
Jake

Hi Jake,

Thanks for checking in.  It appears that I will need to buy an ecobee room sensor for my ecobee thermostat.  i have several nest room sensors so was trying to understand if they would work with our ecobee thermostat.  all indications are that i will need to buy an ecobee room sensor, unless you  know of any way for them to work with ecobee.

Hey there,

You won't be able to use the Nest Temperature Sensor unless you have a Nest Thermostat. The temperature sensor reports temperature data directly to a Nest thermostat in the same home. Sorry about that.

Best regards,
