Hello All.
I'm new here. I've got a natural gas (FHW) heating-only system that I'm trying to install Nest thermostat Es in. I have no C wire, so I've ordered the Nest Power Connector. I've currently got 3 zones with old (manual/analog) thermostats on each of the three zones.
My question is this: If I leave one of my old manual/analog thermostats installed, and install the Nest Power Connector (for my two new Nest E), will the power connector damage the old (manual/analog) thermostat?

Hi Paul-A-D,
Thanks for posting and sorry for the delay.
I suggest reaching out to a local pro to install your Nest Thermostat safely as your system needs a technician to make sure it works properly. This is also for your safety.
Best,
Mel

Had a professional installer here all day today (for the second time). I've now tried three different Nest Es (T4000ES) and three different Nest GA0202083-USs. Both models are supposed to work with a 2-wire, heat-only system using the Nest power connectors. They simply do not work!! They do not power up at all. We verified that we have 24V at the thermostat wires (coming from the Nest power connectors) and they simply don't power up at all. I've spent hundreds of dollars on two different model Nest thermostats only to find out they're worthless. I'm not about to run a new common wire to three different floors in my house, but if I did, I would go with the Honeywell thermostats instead of these things.
If you've got a 2-wire, heat-only system with a Taco SR503 switching relay, Nest thermostats WILL NOT WORK.

Your response was to ask me to fill out a form and explain the same thing that I've already explained on this forum. Why would I do that? Is filling out a form going to magically get me an answer that you can't offer here on the forum?
