Will this work with my older trane unit?

Looks like it should.  It depends on which Nest thermostat you have as well sa which one you're replaing.  Go onto Google's Nest compatibility checker. Here's the site: https://store.google.com/us/product/nest_learning_thermostat_3rd_gen?hl=en-US

Your current thermostat is only fully compatible with the Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Gen, and would get wired like this.

Red - R to Rc

Brown - T - not used, tape off

Orange - O to OB

Green - G to G

Yellow - Y to Y1

Black - X2 to * (set as emergency heat)

Blue - B to C

White - W to W2 (set as Aux heat)
