Wiring Installation: 8 wires 6 polls

Hello,

Bought two smart nest ghost thermostats, My current system has a total of 8 wires going into 6 polls. G (1 wire) W (1 wire) C (2 wires) Y(1 wire) R (1 wire) RC (2 wires). It appears the Nest thermostats only will accept 1 wire per poll. THis system has air conditioning and boiler heat.furnace.jpg

Do i need to buy the Nest Learning Thermostat? or will the Regular nest smart thermostat work? working through the wiring diagrams, both say the system is compatible.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your thermostat wiring diagram. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

 

I can tell that it'll be compatible with the Nest Learning Thermostat. To avoid power issues and damage, we only need to connect one wire to each terminal. To be sure, could you send us a picture of your system's control panel? So we can see how the wires are being labeled. Also, the make and model of your HVAC unit.

Thank you. i'm trying to upload a picture but it says i don't have permission.  

 

The control unit for the boiler has red white and gree wires into MV, MV/PV, and PV slots 1,2,3 on a honeywell

Boiler is Dunkir WPSB - 50

 

Air conditioners - RAPM-030JEZ

If possible, please contact the company that handled your initial installation. However, if you prefer to use a different installer, you may contact a Nest Pro.
