Wiring for a heat pump

C_Dollar

I'm hoping this configuration for my daughter's heat pump is compatible with a Nest Thermostat (since I've already purchased it for her!). Do I put the O/B (orange wire labelled W1) in the O/B slot in the nest and the Aux/W2 wire in the W slot? I do not think she has a dual fuel system as she has no gas lines running to her house. (or do I need to purchase a Nest Learning thermostat?)  Thanks!

Give this wiring a try

White - AUX to W (jumper to E not needed)

Green - G to G

Orange - O/B to */OB

Blue - C to C

Yellow - Y to Y

Red - R to R (jumper to Rc not needed)

Thank you!! Will try that. That's what I was thinking, but just needed a little reassurance!
