change ownership and credentials for nest thermostat and protect

Hi,

We are selling our home that has 2 Nest thermostats and 4 Nest Protects. We are looking for instructions to give to our buyers so they can change the devices to be control by their (google) account...I'm using a Nest Account I think.

Once the buyers change the home Wi-Fi with new credentials, they will need to connect all the Nest devices to the Wi-Fi, using their own accounts.

Hey samucich,

I would be more than happy to help you out and ensure the buyer is good to go once they move in. You will want to restart both devices, so they are back to factory settings. From there, once the buyer is moved in they will just need to set up the devices. They can follow the article here to set those up when ready.
