Hi All - installed new to us (bought used/restored trhough walmart.com from Computerland - does have 90 day warranty so maybe i need to just return any buy new?) Nest 3rd Gen to our Heating and Air system the other day and worked flawlessly. Woke up this morning to an e80 error. We have HW baseboard and separate Air Conditioning System. Have the nest on Heat only currently so it only works the HW Baseboard/Boiler system.
Attached below is link to photos of prior Honeywell thermostat wiring and now our current wiring without changing anything after the e80 issue. Currently, there does NOT appear to be a C-Wire for the Boiler however there is a white wire which is part of the AC that is not attached to anything in nest and not attached to anything in the AC unit currently so wondering if maybe i can get a C-Wire connection through my AC unit to power the Nest?
Removed the Nest and plugged it into mico-usb while I am at work today wondering if it may just be a low batter issue with nest? Has anyone had any similar issues and/or fixes for this?

Thanks all - just trying to troubleshoot before calling HVAC guy.

Hi BIreland,
Yikes! E80 error means that there is no power detected the the Y1 terminal. Let's see what's going on. A few questions:
Also, the Google Photos link you sent for your Honeywll and Nest Learning Thermostat wiring requires access. You can create a link to share. When you share a link to your album, anyone with the link can view the photos and add to the album.
I'll look forward to your response.
Best,
Zoe

Thanks Zoe - here are copied and pasted questions & answers below:
**Quick update as it pertains - I bought a new nest to make sure it was not an issue with the thermostat hardware. additionally, I disconnected the Y1 just so the heat would work which it appears to be. For now the heat is working but i want to ultimately get both of them working together as needed. The answers below will be assuming that the Y1 is connected and it is erroring out completely, not allowing the heat or AC to work.**
Here are photos of connections: - the first is the original Honeywell Thermostat and the next is the Nest Learning Thermostat - 3rd Gen.

Hi there,
Thanks for the information, and I'm sorry for the late response. Gather the power readouts of your Nest Learning Thermostat's Battery, VOC, VIN, and lIN under Settings > Technical Info > Power. This will allow us to determine if there is sufficient voltage that goes through the wires, especially to the Y1 terminal.
Regards,
Zoe
