How can I wire a nest learning thermostat for heat and ac with just 2 wires sticking out of wall

It must be heat only system if it only has 2 wires.
Put red to Rh and other to W1.
It might work ok without a C wire but you have to try it and see if it gives you power issues.
Otherwise you have to run a new 8 conductor cable or try using the Nest power adapter device.

It has both heat and air.

Since only 2 wires It might be a special communicating thermostat made by the company that makes your HVAC system.
If you post a picture of the wires connected to the thermostat show the markings on the screws and the brand we can help you.
