locked out of Nest thermostat and the device was previously removed from the app

Hello, we've been locked out of our thermostat and the device was previously removed from the app so i cannot reset that way. How can i work around?

Press your thermostat > Settings cog > Reset > All Settings.

After resetting to defaults, you’ll need to set it up and add it to your home in the app again just like you did when you first installed it.
