Hi my house has radiant heat and forced air heat. Each of these in 2 zones. One zone is on the first floor and the other one on the second floor.

1. Is it possible to control radiant heat with a NEST?

2. Is it possible to control radiant and forced air heat with one thermostat?

3. Is it possible to control all zones with one thermostat?

Hi 1122NJ1122,

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest in our Nest Thermostats. Nest Thermostats can control radiant heat, forced air heat, and all zones of a home. However, the setup depends on the type of heating system and the Nest Thermostat model. It's possible to control both types of heating systems with a single thermostat, but it requires a thermostat that supports both types and has the necessary wiring connections. Some thermostats are designed to handle multiple heating systems, so send us a photo of your zoning system so we can take a closer look. A zoning system allows for independent temperature control in each zone, but requires professional installation and potentially additional equipment like motorized dampers.

Let us know if that helps.

Best,

Zoe
