nest learning thermostat only putting out AC cold air when heating

I have a Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation that is only putting out AC cold air when it's trying to heat.

I have quadruple checked all the wiring, and I think that the issue is my Y1 wire.

In the Nest app and on the thermostat itself, it says that Y1 is marked for heating and cooling. However on my heating unit, Y is used exclusively for cooling. How do I tell the Google thermostat to only use Y for cooling?

Hi there,

I’m sorry for the delay in responding, and I thank you for taking the time to contact us. Please send us a clear photo of your old thermostat wiring, how you wired it to your Nest Learning Thermostat, and the make and model of your HVAC system.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Zoe

Hi there! Sorry for the delay as well. I fixed this by just removing the OB wire since my heat pump only goes one way.
