The new Google Nest Thermostats doesn't have a press to select outer ring like the other two Nest thermostat.

Nest Thermostats don’t have a touch screen. Use the touch bar on the right side to control your thermostat. Swipe up to raise the temperature, swipe down to lower it, and tap to confirm. The display will show you how many minutes until your desired temperature is reached.

  • Tap the touch bar to bring up the menu.
  • Swipe up or down to select an option.
  • Tap the touch bar again to confirm your selection.

Patrick, I have the google nest thermostat E with the following problems. When in thermometer mode pressing settings does not do anything. I press the outer ring, the orange light flashes once, then green for some time, then it returns to thermometer mode. Since I can not obtain the entry code, I can not connect it to the app. I have scanned the QR code, but that does not work for some reason. There is no way that I can change the schedule.

I have checked every support area I can think of, and have never found the answer to my problem. I would like to reach google through a direct chat line, but no luck so far. Do you have any suggestions for me. Note, I do appreciate that you have answered several inquiries for me.
