This week I have the same problem with my nest 3rd Gen thermostat after 3 months of use. The technicians try everything but same message persists then they must change the thermostat to 4th generation.

Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I am sorry to hear your Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd gen is shutting down after you recharge the battery, but there's no need to worry; I'm happy to assist you right now.

To get a better understanding of the situation, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?
  • Can you please send me a picture of the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd gen wiring?
  • Do you see blinking lights on the Nest Thermostat? If so, what color is the light?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Regards,

Gabriela
