Moved recently unable to setup the wifi point. Home app asks for a 8 digit code. My point has a 9 digit code. QR code doesn't scan either. The webpage "http://192..."to manually connect SSID doesn't load.

Everything was working fine until last week at the old home. Almost as if Google designed the new Home app to force people to buy new hardware.

Hi Nomi1ne,

Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that you are unable to set up your Nest WiFi point. I understand how frustrating it is when the app tells you to enter an 8-digit code but your device has a 9-digit one. Help's here.

Please review the following article about setting up Google WiFi. There are a few options and recommendations on how to enter the setup code.

Let me know if you need more assistance.

Regards,

Byron

Thank you for respond. Don't you think I would have tried Googling how to do that. That article is useless!
