I have an existing wifi network made up of 3 AC-1304 pucks. I want to add a 4th for better mesh/ coverage as one puck is a little far. I have one pick acting as router plugged into a switch. Ethernet wire "backhauled" to the other 2 pucks and an available wire where I'd like to place an additional puck, 4th puck will get a desktop plugged into it too. Best buy guy sold me a nest pro 6e as 4th puck with intent of making it the new router and moving existing puck to new location. So far, from reading, this doesn't seem like it will work as the pro6e isn't backward compatible???? Can the ac-1304 pucks still be used? I'm confused and my level is novice at best!

The wifi pro can only be used with other wifi pro points so you either have to upgrade your entire system to wifi pro or purchase a google wifi/nest wifi point.

Thanks so much to MetalGlacier and olavrb! I thought that was what i was reading but was hoping that it would work! THere is nothing wrong with my current network per se I just wanted to add another point to make it mesh better. Guess I'll return the pro 6e and pick up something that is a 5. Thanks so much for your rapid responses help!
