Blocking adult sites on a Smart TV

Hello, we're interested in putting a large Smart TV in our son's room. However, Smart TVs usually have web browsers in additiion to the standard Amazon Prime Video and Netflix apps. While his PC and iphone have their own Screen Time controls to block adult sites, we're worried that the Smart TV will be a backdoor for accessing adult material. Will the Family Wi-Fi restrict access to porn sites from the Smart TV if configured correctly?

Hello @TC128

This kind of blocking isn't terribly effective at the network layer. I don't think I'd assume it will be effective by itself for a smart TV that has a browser.

When/where do Family Wi-Fi's content restrictions work well, if at all?

My understanding of this feature is that it intercepts Google searches and limits the search results. But, if someone enters a specific web site, or follows a link from somewhere else, I don't think it will be able to block it very effectively.
