Connecting to existing google wifi router

I had a 3 piece google wifi set up. I didn’t do the set up, my ex partner did. They have taken the 2 other wifi units and have left me just the main one connected to the router. I want to get another unit but how do I link to this one, I can’t seem to do it on the Google home app or do I just start from scratch with a new set. Any help would be great!

First check which model of Wifi point you have:
Tech specs for Nest Wifi Pro, Nest Wifi, and Google Wifi - Google Nest Help
Nest Wifi and Google Wifi products compared - Google Nest Help

Probably the easiest thing for you to do is factory reset your Wifi point and set it up again with your account.

Factory reset your Wifi device - Google Nest Help
Set up Google Wifi - Google Nest Help (if you have Google Wifi)
Set up Nest Wifi Pro or Nest Wifi - Google Nest Help
(if you have Nest Wifi or Nest Wifi Pro)

If you you have Google Wifi or Nest Wifi, you can buy and add another one of those models to your network (just not Nest Wifi Pro). If you have Nest Wifi Pro, you'd need to buy another Nest Wifi Pro as you can't combine Nest Wifi Pro with the older Nest Wifi and Google Wifi models.

Use Nest Wifi and Google Wifi devices on the same network - Google Nest Help

Hope this helps!
