Delete WiFi router no longer have access to

Hello. Believe I have the second gen Google WiFi mesh set up with 3 routers. I was to delete an old google WiFi router that is still showing up on the app. I don’t have access to it though. It doesn’t seem to let me delete a router unless there is access to it. Any workaround?

You could try a factory reset through the Home App.

@Fishizer, thanks for posting. I’d like to check if you were able to try carguy143’s suggestion. Also, here are the steps to factory reset your Google Wifi router from your Google Home app:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi > Settings > Factory reset network > OK.

How about steps to delete WiFi Router i no longer have? Factory resetting only creates tons more work setting other devices backup. So I'd like a straight forward way like used to exist.

If it was the main Google Wifi router, you will need to factory reset your entire network as you won’t be able to set up your other Google Wifi points without a new main Google Wifi router first. Feel free to reply if you have any questions or clarifications.
