Error During Factory Reset of Wifi Point

Unable to connect Wifi Point/Speaker after multiple factory resets attempts. After entering the setup code, Google App says "Couldn't connect to your Nest Wifi point".  Tried factory resetting a few times and get the same error.

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand that you’re experiencing trouble setting up your Nest Wifi Point to your Google Home app and getting an error message “Couldn't connect to your Nest Wifi point." No worries. I’m here to help.

To further assist you, please answer the following questions:

  • Does your Nest Wifi Point broadcast the setup Service Set Identifier (SSID) or network name located at the bottom of the device?

  • Did you try to set up your Nest Wifi Point wirelessly or through a wired connection? How do you want your mesh setup?

  • What's the color of the lights on your Nest Wifi Point?

  • Is your Nest Wifi Point within the recommended distance from your router?

  • Does any Wi-Fi device broadcast a custom SSID or network name?

  • Do you have any switches in your network setup?
