I am trying to get Wi-Fi coverage extended and have an extra Nest router. The spot I want to put it has a decent signal and should extend coverage to where it is needed. An earlier help request was answered by saying you could just tell the router it was a point in set up but I don’t see a way to do that. Every time I try to set it up in the Google Home app it try’s to create its own network. How do I force it to just become a point?
Thank you

It should be as easy as this:
Section "Add a point or an additional router".
You could try to place it close to the primary during setup, then move it. You could also try to have an ethernet cable between the primary LAN port to the new router acting as point WAN port during setup, then disconnect cable and move it after.

Thank you, I will give that a try.

Hi, everyone.
Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.
Thanks,
